Real Talk- Pregnancy
First all, sorry I have been so MIA lately; I blame it on the pregnancy. I am not one of those people that loves being pregnant. Sure I love things about it, and of course I am grateful to be pregnant. So here it is the pros and woes of being pregnant; for me.
Exhaustion. – and when I say exhausted I mean the kind of exhaustion you didn’t even know it was possible to feel.
The Glow– or in my case the lack of glow. Instead of having a lovely pregnancy glow I look tired and pale.
The Body– At the risk of sounding vain, I have to confess, with my first pregnancy, aside from a few very puffy days I actually looked good throughout the whole pregnancy (of course I am only realizing this now by comparison). This time around not so much. My belly popped within the first month, and instead of being a cute little basketball belly my hips instantly widened and the belly just looks- well- eh. I got bigger much faster this time and literally getting dressed everyday is a struggle. Nothing fits and of course I still have another 4.5 months to go!
The Boobs– I know this is part of the body, but it deserves it’s own complaint. Big, sore, and itchy. Enough said.
The Worry– I tend to be quite a worrier when it comes to my kid (s). Being pregnant makes me anxious and always cautious of the little life developing inside.
Growing a life- I mean it’s obviously a huge blessing and one of the most amazing things you can experience in life.
The Baby– after nearly a year- you are in fact pregnant for 10 months, not 9 (lies they tell you =) ) waiting for your baby to be born is like being a kid waiting for Christmas morning. It is the most exciting and amazing feeling leading up to meeting your baby even during the most painful contractions! And that feeling when you meet your baby for the first time, priceless.
Sushi and Champagne– After 10 months that first glass of champagne and delicious first sushi meal in the hospital is definitely cause for celebration and worth the wait!
With that being said, here are a few of my pregnancy must haves:
